I came across this pipe during the recent move, it’s an old bulldog shape that I no longer make, it was stamped as shape number 272, but the current 272 is slightly larger. If I was a younger man, I might consider making this shape again, as it’s a lovely little pipe. |

An old, unsmoked meerschaum, from the Jambo factory. Stamped “Geniune Block Meerschaum” with the number 20, probably the shape number, on the base of the bowl. The vulcanite mouthpiece has the “Elephant” logo on one side, and “Made in Tanzania” on the other side. This is one of a number of meerschaums acquired some years ago when Jambo finished. |
